The formation of the Jhargram Raj College Physics Alumni Association ("JRCPAA" in brief) was an incidence of the explosion of singularity like big bang due to the immense impetus of 'Education, Reform, and Enlightenment' for the society of remote Aranya Sundari Jhargram at 3.45 pm on 18th December 2015 at Jhargram Raj College seminar hall when a massive number of alumni, then O/C of Jhargram Raj College, present and former HODs of Physics department along with other dignitaries were assembled in the farewell occasion of non-teaching staff, Mr. Shital Narayan Singha. The very first particles that were formed just after the explosion were Prof. Anjan Chaki, Dr. Prabir Banerjee, Dr. Mrinal Kanti Hota, Dr. Sandipan Mallik, Mr. Swarup Ghosh, Mr. Shyamal Kr. Bhui, Mr. Pradip Maiti, Mr. Dipak Ranjan Mahata, Sk. Manwar Ali, Mr. Pratap Pal, Mr. Somen Mandal, Mr. Dhananjoy Bej, Mr. Manoj Dey, and many more. The concept of the alumni association was realized from the needs of both the ends like academicians and professionals in the aim of building a bridge between college life and career life so that the fresher graduates become proactive to face the current challenges of the competitive professional world and also for the dedication of backward society of Jhargram based on no profit no loss concept. Both ends will work hand in hand to help each other achieve the goal. The idea took shape, and the formation of the Alumni Association turned into reality, and now we are expanding slowly but steadily.
18th December 2015, Friday: It was decided that all the former physics students would be invited for a reunion to this seminar hall to form JRCPAA. That was all the beginning of such a substantial emotional run. Under the chairmanship of Prof. Anjan Chaki, a constructive discussion was held in the presence of Officer-in-Charge Dr. Nimai Chandra Masanta, HOD of Physics Department, current and ex-students. During this time, Dr. Mrinal Kanti Hota, Pratap Pal, Somen Mandal, Sk. Manowar Ali, Dr. Sandipan mallik etc. enthusiastic ex-students highlighted the need for the formation of an Alumni Association to emphasize the humanitarian, responsibility of physics alumni in the current context of social and educational service. Everyone in the meeting agreed to form the association. There was a lengthy discussion on the aims and objectives of the association. The representatives from ex-students were selected unanimously for the various posts of the Executive committee of JRCPAA by the ex-students present.
